Corporate Forms in Luxembourg​

SA (Société Anonyme):

  • Public limited company
  • Minimum capital: €30,000
  • Shares freely transferable
  • More formal requirements

SARL (Société à Responsabilité Limitée):

  • Private limited company
  • Minimum capital: €12,000
  • Most common for SMEs
  • Shares not freely transferable

SCS (Société en Commandite Simple):

  • Limited partnership
  • General and limited partners
  • Different liability

SNC (Société en Nom Collectif):

  • General partnership
  • All partners liable
  • Less common
